Distribution Centers-A facility that stocks goods to be re-distributed to retailers or wholesalers. Distribution Centers are the core of retailing network cause they allow the retailers to store a large amount of goods in a location, without have to incur the heavy costs of transportation of the goods. They store the goods until the retailer needs them, then they are shipped out in their proper quantity. Smaller retailers may outsource the responsibility to Logistic Service Providers that coordinate the distribution of products for a number of companies.
